Reece Samuels
Customer Service Officer Westminster Library
Westminster Libraries serve a range of needs, although our priority is first and foremost with our community. Our job is to help supplement the healthy wellbeing of our customers across different faculties, both culturally, mentally and financially. In the face of current circumstances, the library service has had to change and evolve.
During the first lockdown, we launched our very own Virtual Library Service designed to “Read”, “Learn” and “Connect”. In conjunction with this we deliver a range of business events aimed to improve the confidence, employability and prosperity of communities. For us, leadership and teamwork go hand in hand – ‘Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much’ – Helen Keller.
Moreover, as Westminster Libraries “Lead for Read”, I have helped to ensure that our communities have access to inclusive, informative and stimulating material that brings people together from all walks of life. Facilitating networks amongst people is at the heart of what we do, helping our – now global! – communities prosper and thrive will always be a joy to watch.
